The mission of the Mother Lode Art Association is to inspire creativity, foster appreciation of the fine arts, and encourage artistic expression through education, collaboration, and community engagement. We welcome artists of all levels and enrich our community by making art accessible to everyone.

The Mother Lode Art Association (MLAA) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, founded in 1951. Our federal tax ID (also known as an EIN) is 87-0715424. 

​Meetings followed by an art demo are held the third Monday of each month except July, August and December.

Our Plein Air group is currently on hold pending the nomination of a new Committee Lead. They typically meet weekly, weather permitting.

Starting in 2026, February, April, and June meetings will be held in the evening.
